âšMagikats! The Mystery of the Mossâš
The sequel to Magikats! The Wand of the Vale is finally born! Welcome to the world, The Mystery of the Moss! This book was 2.5 years in the making. It got me through quarantine, the individual hospitalization of both of my parents, and the loss of the one and only Mossy (Rest in Peace little one đ). This was my guiding light through the dark times to just keep moving and creating as a born creator. And I have never been more proud.

đCelebrationđ
So I DO have a reservation for SpaWorld (a Korean bath house) later this month, but when I saw this Tortie girl available at the Animal Shelter (after months of no torties) I KNEW this was going to be the gift to myself to celebrate. Welcome Mimsy to the family! Sheâs named after Madam Mim from the Sword in the Stone and she joins her siblings Magic and Mystic. She just had to get many teeth extractions (paid for by the shelter fortunately) so send her your love and light for her healing!
Itâs honestly very full circle in an eerie way. Mossy passed due to an infection in her tooth. Surgery wasnât an option and many vets were split on the surgery and knew that she would struggle most in the recovery process for such a traumatic thing for a 19.5 cat with chronic kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, arthritis, etc. The goal was to make her comfortable as possible which we did. I always had regret like I made the wrong decision⊠then we adopted Mimsy without knowing she needed 9 teeth extracted (they told us it was a procedural dental cleaning at the shelter). I am happy she has received the help she needs and she is young enough to recoverâŠbut it is going to take WEEKS to fully recover from something so traumatic. I know now with certainty Mossy wouldnât have had the strength to recover from something so traumatizing as her strength had already started fading from her other conditions. I feel like Mossy sent us Mimsy so we could help Mimsy with her condition like we werenât able to with Mossy. Life can be very funny and full circle that way. Just like with Cinnamon being diagnosed with a tumor and suddenly passing away a week later after I was prepared and dedicated to taking care of my old, sick cat, then we adopted Mossy (who was much older than the shelter told us) and was given a death notice of 6 months to live and went on to live 5.5 more years with us. I like to believe the Universe repeats in cycles until it is able to âcomplete the story'. So welcome to the family, Mimsy! You now carry the torch of the Tortie girls, Cinni & Mossy, before you and we are all so happy to have some much needed Tortie-tude back in the house.
